Our Team

All our teachers are fully qualified, CRB certificated and experienced well respected performers. Our teachers have been in some of the biggest shows in the West end and television. They all share the same passion to inspire, motivate and lead children to achieve all that they can be through their extensive knowledge of the business.

Sharon Cherry Ballard Principle and Founder

Reviewed by the London Times as an “Outstanding vocalist and performer”.

Sharon trained in Musical Theatre at The Brit School of Performing Arts before completing a PGC whilst studying a Masters Degree in Early Years Education specialising in Early Years Music at Birmingham City University.

Sharon managed and ran classes for Stagecoach Theatre Arts, Perform and Boogiemites before setting up Cherrystars at The Brit school in 2011.

She set up the Cherrystars Agency in 2013 which has seen children appear in Commercials, Feature Films, TV Dramas and Stage Shows.

Sharon was part of the late David Gest's final (Ive had the) Time of My Life' Arena Tour singing lead female vocals on duets with soul legends Bill Medley (Righteous Brothers) and two time Grammy Award winner Peabo Bryson along with singing for 9 other living soul legends including Billy Paul (Me and Mrs Jones), Freda Payne (Band Of Gold), Dorothy Moore (Misty Blue) Deniece Williams (Let's hear it for the boy) and more.

Film and Television includes Police Woman in BBC's 'Sherlock' Hotel Receptionist in Feature Film 'Me Before You' Warner Bros cinema release June 2016, Gillian in BBC's 'Eastenders' 'Sound of Musicals' Pilot for ITV, Waitress in British Indie film 'Delicious', Kezia in short film 'Sort It Out', Jasmine in Dave Hill's short film 'Royal Baby Watch'.

Theatre includes; Mermaid and Lead singer in 'Peter Pan' (Wimbledon Theatre), Dr Taylor in 'A&E' (Lost Theatre), Mona in 'A hard working bus' (RADA Studios), Tash in 'Clocks and Teapots' (RADA Studios), Fairy in Dick Whittigton (Wycombe Swan Theatre) Shirley Bassey in 'Bassey the Musical' (Reading), Bluette in 'Blues Brothers' (UK and European tour), Apollo Performer in 'Buddy Holly Musical' (Arena Tour), Fairy Godmother in 'Cinderella' (New Theatre Cardiff), Nina in 'In Bed' (Questors Theatre), Zoe in 'All Bobs Women' (Arts Theatre), 'Godspell' (UK No 1 Tour), Tina Turner in 'Discotivity' (Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh Fringe), Tammy Terrell/Freda Payne in 'Solid Gold Soul' (European Tour), Florence in 'Time Reveals All' (Brighton Festival).

Sharon has also made many appearances in Television Commercials.

Keisha Atwell Teacher

Keisha trained at Laine Theatre Arts. Theo Close Teacher

Theo started his professional training at The BRIT School for Performing Arts in September 2011. After completing a two year Musical Theatre course, he went on to win the Cameron Mackintosh bursary to aid his studies at The Arts Educational Schools, London- where Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber is President.

Credits while training include:
'Melchior' in Spring Awakening (BRIT), 'Presley Stray' in the Pitchfork Disney, 'Dr Pangloss' in Candide, 'Simon Bliss' in Hay Fever (ArtsEd).

Other Credits include:

Roxanne Palmer Teacher

Roxanne trained at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and then went on to study at Guildford School of Acting where she achieved a First Class Degree in Musical Theatre. Roxanne is currently appearing in 'The Suicide' at the National Theatre. Past credits include Mrs Popper in 'Mr Popper's Penguins', The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time for the National Theatre, West End Show 'Viva Forever', Marie in 'The Realness' at the Young Vic, Kate/Chutney in the original West End cast of Legally Blonde, The Mask Show The Last Resort with Strangeface Thetare Company. Whilst with Strangeface Roxanne led Mask Workshops throughout the UK in Primary Schools, Secondary schools and Colleges. Roxanne has also taught acting, singing and dancing for Perform and Stagecoach Theatre Arts for several years.

Amy Pemberton Teacher

Amy received a first class honours degree in Musical Theatre from Arts Educational - one of London's top drama schools.

Amy has recently finished voicing a part in Disney juniors smash hit show 'Doc Mc Stuffins'. Recent films include brit flick Kaufmans Game released in the UK October 2013. Prior to this she was filming the role of Lucy in Noel Clarke's feature "Storage 24" as well as playing Sherrie Christian in Rock Of Ages in the West End. Amy also plays Elaena Glenmore in the Game Of Thrones games series and the Dr's Companion Private Sally Morgan opposite Sylvester McCoy in the DR WHO Audio Books for Big Finish.

Past television work includes Woolamaloo, The Misty Show, The Basil Brush Show, My Parents Are Aliens, Doctors, Casualty and Grownups.
